Replace the `method_attributes` and `hidden_attributes` methods with
`api_attributes`. `api_attributes` can be used as a class macro:
# include only the given attributes.
api_attributes :id, :created_at, :creator_name, ...
# include all default attributes plus the `creator_name` method.
api_attributes including: [:creator_name]
or as an instance method:
def api_attributes
[:id, :created_at, :creator_name, ...]
end
By default, all attributes are included except for IP addresses and
tsvector columns.
Don't try delete files belonging to completed uploads during pruning. If
an uploaded post was replaced shortly after upload, then the original
file could get deleted during pruning since it's no longer in use, but
this isn't supposed to happen until the replacement grace period (30
days) is over.
Changes:
* Drop Users.id_to_name.
* Don't cache Users.name_to_id.
* Replace calls to name_to_id with find_by_name when possible.
* Don't autodefine creator_name in belongs_to_creator.
* Don't autodefine updater_name in belongs_to_updater.
* Instead manually define creator_name / updater_name only on models that need
to return these fields in the api.
id_to_name was cached to reduce the impact of N+1 query patterns in
certain places, especially in api responses that return creator_name /
updater_name fields. But it still meant we were doing N calls to
memcache. Using `includes` to prefetch users avoids this N+1 pattern.
name_to_id had no need be cached, it was never used in any performance-
sensitive contexts.
Avoiding caching also avoids the need to keep these caches consistent.
Refactor various post_tag_match methods to use subqueries instead of joins.
This simplifies things inside PostQueryBuilder, since now we can assume
we're always dealing with a Post relation, rather than some other table
joined with the posts table.
* Rename Upload#download_for_upload to #get_file_for_upload.
* Fix #get_file_for_upload to raise error if no file or source url was given.
* Fix javascript upload validation to disallow submitting form if file is
not present and the source is not an url.
Bug: if an upload timed out while downloading the file, Upload#process!
would catch the error and attempt to retry, but since the upload was
already in the 'processing' state, on the second try `process!` would
bail out immediately and leave the upload stuck in the 'processing' state.
Fix: remove the retry logic from Upload#process!. Let Downloads::File#download!
(which had its own retry logic) handle it instead.
* Add `truthy?` and `falsy?` core extensions to String.
* Use `truthy?` and `falsy?` to replace ad-hoc parsing of boolean
parameters in various places.
Fail loudly if we forget to whitelist a param instead of silently
ignoring it.

Refactors the upload process to pass around temp files, rather than
passing around file paths and directly writing output to the local
filesystem. This way we can pass the storage manager the preview /
sample / original temp files, so it can deal with storage itself.
* Change Download::File#download! to return a temp file.
* Change DanbooruImageResizer and PixivUgoiraConverter to accept/return
temp files instead of file paths.
* Change Upload#generate_resizes to return temp files for previews and samples.
* Change Upload#generate_resizes to generate ugoira .webm samples
synchronously instead of asynchronously.
Move animated_gif / animated_png autotagging to take place during
uploading, instead of during tag editing. We can't generally assume the
file will be present on the local filesystem after uploading.
* Allow every controller to take the `search[id]` param.
* Parse the `search[id]` param the same way that the `id:<N>` metatag is
parsed. So `search[id]=1,2,3`, `search[id]=<42`, `search[id]=1..10`, for
example, are all accepted.
