Add options to disable comments, the forum, and autocomplete. This is
for personal boorus and potentially for safe mode. Note that disabling
the forum may cause difficulties with creating and approving BURs.
Disabling comments and the forum merely hides them from most areas,
rather than completely removing them.
* Deprecated tags can't be added to posts, but existing deprecated tags
in a post won't be removed
* Only empty tags can be marked as deprecated manually
* No tags can be manually undeprecated
** These limits don't apply to admins
* Deprecating or undeprecating a tag will create a new mod action to
prevent people from going rogue
* Added deprecate/undeprecate commands for BURs
* Deprecating a tag via BUR removes all implications to and from it as well
Factor out thumbnail galleries into a PostGallery component.
This changes the html structure so that post galleries on all pages are
always wrapped in a `.posts-container` class. This fixes an issue with
thumbnails on the pool show page not being aligned correctly on mobile,
like they are on the post index page. This also affected thumbnail
galleries on other pages, like wiki pages and user profiles.
Refactor full-text search on several tables (comments, dmails,
forum_posts, forum_topics, notes, and wiki_pages) to use to_tsvector
expression indexes instead of dedicated tsvector columns. This way
full-text search works the same way across all tables.
API changes:
* Changed /wiki_pages.json?search[body_matches] to match against only
the body. Before `body_matches` matched against both the title and the body.
* Added /wiki_pages.json?search[title_or_body_matches] to match against
both the title and the body.
* Fixed /dmails.json?search[message_matches] to match against both the
title and body when doing a wildcard search. Before a wildcard search
only matched against the body.
* Added /dmails.json?search[body_matches] to match against only the dmail body.
* Fix it so that all edit forms show an error banner if the form
has validation errors. Previously forms had to manually call
`error_messages_for`, which not all forms did.
* Fix it so that the full validation error message is shown next to each
input attribute that had errors. Also update the styling of these
error messages to look better.
Adjust input boxes to fit the screen better on mobile, and to use
consistent sizes throughout the site (no ad-hoc overrides to make
certain input boxes a bit bigger in random places).
On desktop, this makes most input boxes a bit taller and narrower. On
mobile, it makes input boxes the full width of the screen.
This most notably affects the tag edit box, the comment and forum
post box, the wiki page edit box, and the commentary box.
Standardize font sizes and heading tags (<h1>-<h6>) to be more
consistent across the site.
Changes:
* Introduce font size CSS variables and start replacing hardcoded font
sizes with standard sizes.
* Change header tags to use only one <h1> per page. One <h1> per page is
recommended for SEO purposes. Usually this is for the page title, like
in forum threads or wiki pages.
* Standardize on <h2> for section headers in sidebars and <h3> for
smaller subsection headers. Don't use <h4>-<h6>.
* In DText, make h1-h4 headers all the same size. Standard wiki style is
to ignore h1-h3 and start at h4.
* In DText, make h4-h6 the same size as the h1-h3 tags outside of DText.
* In the tag list, change the <h1> and <h2> tag category headers to <h3>.
* Make usernames in comments and forum posts smaller. Also change the
<h4> tag for the commenter name to <div class="author-name">.
* Make the tag list, paginator, and nav menu smaller on mobile.
* Change h1#app-name-header to a#app-name-header.
Add rel=nofollow to various internal search links to prevent Google from
attempting to crawl things like `<tag> status:deleted` or `approver:<name>`
searches.
* Only show the delete artist button on the artist edit page.
* Only show the delete pool button on the pool edit page.
* Only show the delete wiki button on the wiki edit page.
* Refactors DText form fields to use a custom SimpleForm input instead
of manually generated html. This fixes it so that DText fields use the
same markup as normal SimpleForm fields, which lets us apply browser
maxlength validations to DText input fields.
* Fixes autocomplete for @-mentions only working in comments and forum posts.
Now @-mention autocomplete works in all DText fields, including dmails.
Known bug: it applies in artist commentary fields when it shouldn't.
Also add inputs on the search page for both the linked_to and the
not_linked_to search parameters. Additionally, normalize the title
first since autocomplete adds trailing spaces. The search query was
also simplified a bit by taking advantage of Rails associations.
* Replace the .category-N CSS classes on tags with .tag-type-N. Before
we were inconsistent about whether tag colors were indicated with
.category-N or .tag-type-N. Now it's always .tag-type-N.
* Fix various places to not use Tag.category_for. Tag.category_for does
one Redis call per tag lookup, which leads to N Redis calls on many
pages. This was inefficient because usually we either already had the
tags from the database, or we could fetch them easily.
Allow all users to view and edit artist entries and wiki pages belonging
to banned artists. There was little need to hide these pages from
Members, it was mainly to appease artists who didn't like us even
linking to their sites.
These restrictions also had multiple flaws:
* Banned artist information was still visible in the API.
* It was still possible to edit banned artists using the API.
* It was still possible for unprivileged users to revert banned
artist entries or wiki pages to previous versions.
* The restrictions were inconsistent: in various places they were
either Member-only, Gold-only, or Builder-only.
* Warn when renaming a wiki that still has links from other wikis.
* When renaming a wiki that still has posts, just show a warning instead
of returning an error and making the user confirm the rename.
* Redirect the show_or_new action to either the show page or the new
page. Don't use show_or_new to render nonexistent wikis; do that in the
regular show action instead.
* Make the show action return 404 for nonexistent wikis.
* Fix inconsistencies in how wiki pages were linked.
* Link directly to the wiki instead of to a title search that is expected
to redirect to the wiki.
Drop the creator_id and updater_id fields from wiki pages. These fields
had several issues:
* The creator_id field was inconsistent with the wiki_page_versions
table. Apparently during the migration to Danbooru 2 in 2012-2013 the
creator_id field got reset to whoever last updated the wiki at that
point in time.
* Saving a wiki would set the updater_id even when nothing actually
changed. This also caused the updated_at timestamp to get bumped.
Because of this, anything that saved a wiki, including things like
creating aliases or implications, would bump the updater_id and
updated_at even though the wiki didn't actually change. This meant
these fields weren't consistent with the wiki_page_versions history.
Changes:
* Remove `creator_name` field from the /wiki_pages.json API.
* Remove creator name search option from /wiki_pages/search.
* Factor out common sidebar layout template.
* Convert wiki pages and posts to use this template.
* Add data-layout attribute to <body> element indicating the current layout.
