Add <link rel="prev"> and <link rel="next"> elements to most pages with
pagination. This should work on all index pages, but it won't work for
things like pool or forum topic show pages.
Also remove the <link rel="top"> element (wasn't useful, was just a link
back to the root url).
Allow all users to view and edit artist entries and wiki pages belonging
to banned artists. There was little need to hide these pages from
Members, it was mainly to appease artists who didn't like us even
linking to their sites.
These restrictions also had multiple flaws:
* Banned artist information was still visible in the API.
* It was still possible to edit banned artists using the API.
* It was still possible for unprivileged users to revert banned
artist entries or wiki pages to previous versions.
* The restrictions were inconsistent: in various places they were
either Member-only, Gold-only, or Builder-only.
* Fix og:site to og:site_name.
* Fix open graph properties to use <meta property="...">, not <meta name="...">>
* Set og:type, og:site_name, twitter:site globally (not just on post pages).
* Set og:url.
* Remove unused always-resize-images, report-server <meta> tags from
post show pages.
Change the title of the post index page to look like this:
"Danbooru: Anime Image Board" (for the front page)
"Kantai Collection Art | Danbooru" (for a tag search)
Change the meta description of the front page to look like this:
Danbooru is the original anime image 'booru. Find over 3.75 million
anime pictures categorized by over 100 million tags.
Change the meta description for a tag search to look like this:
Find over 37,168 Azur Lane images on Danbooru. Azur Lane (碧蓝航线)
(벽람항로) is a Chinese shipgirl-themed side-scrolling shoot 'em up
mobile game developed by Shanghai Manjuu and Xiamen Yongshi...
* Rename 'privacy mode' to 'private favorites'.
* Make the private favorites setting only hide favorites, not favgroups
and not the user's uploads on their profile page.
* Make the favgroup is_public flag default to true instead of false and
fix existing favgroups to be public if the user didn't have privacy mode
enabled before.
* List _all_ public favgroups on the /favorite_groups index, not just
favgroups belonging to the current user.
* Add a /users/<id>/favorite_groups endpoint.
* Convert notices from helpers to partials.
* Eliminate PostSets::PostRelationship class in favor of post_sets/posts template.
* Eliminate COUNT(*) queries when calculating the number of child posts.
* Eliminate redundant parent load and parent exists queries.
This is what happens:
* The post is approved.
* The approval action reloads the page by calling `location.reload()`.
* After the page is reloaded, the value of the hidden `_method` param in
the post edit form is mysteriously overwritten with the value of the
authenticity_token param from the previous page load.
* The post edit form is submitted, but the _method param isn't set to
`patch`, so the form submission is treated as a POST request instead of
a PUT request.
* The POST endpoint doesn't exist, so the form submission returns 404.
The cause appears to be buggy form autofill in Firefox 72. This only
happens in Firefox 72, not in Firefox 68 or in other browsers.
Remove the targeted down voting report. This report hasn't been working
for a while. The /post_votes page is a better way to investigate
downvoting activity anyway.
* Add favorite count beneath recommended posts. Clicking the favcount
loads more recommended posts like that post.
* Increase number of recommendations shown on post show page.
* Open recommendations to all users (not just gold).
* Show recommendations on all posts (not just posts after 2017).
* Allow users to browse recommendations for other users.
* Increase number of recommended posts returned.
* Change endpoints to /recommended_posts?user_id=1234 and
/recommended_posts?post_id=1234 and add json/xml support.
* Use more compact timestamps in post tooltips ("39 minutes ago" -> "39m ago")
* Move timestamps to the right (after favcount + score).
* Switch favorite icon from star to heart.
* Fix inconsistencies in how wiki pages were linked.
* Link directly to the wiki instead of to a title search that is expected
to redirect to the wiki.
Normally thumbnails have a fixed size of 154x154, but that's not always
desirable outside of the posts index because it creates empty gaps
around thumbnails.
* Add the source (twitter, pixiv, etc) and upload date ("X minutes ago")
to iqdb thumbnails.
* Link the filesize to the full file so you can compare files in new tabs.
* Link the similarity to a iqdb search so you can pivot your search to other posts.
Remove the 'Similar' button next to the source field in the post edit
form. Removed for multiple reasons:
* It doesn't make sense to have to open the edit form to do a reverse
image search.
* The 'Similar' button tries to redownload the file from the source,
which has various problems: the source might have been deleted, it
might have been changed or revised, it might be a format that iqdb
can't handle (ugoira/webm/mp4), or it might otherwise not match the
the actual post.
* The 'Find similar' button already exists in the sidebar and it does
the right thing by using the preview image from Danbooru, which
avoids all the above issues.
This was used to discourage crawlers from crawling certain pages we
didn't want them to crawl, primarily post searches.
Remove because there are better ways to control crawling. Some of these
links weren't even visible to crawlers anyway. This lets us be
consistent about only applying rel="nofollow" to external links.
* Use underscores instead of spaces for tags in inline tag lists (upload
tags report, tooltips, modqueue, comments page).
* Allow long tags to word wrap. Fixes long sources not wrapping in the
uploads tag report. Also fixes very long tags that don't have
underscores not wrapping in the sidebar (ex: kuouzumiaiginsusutakeizumonokamimeichoujin_mika).
Set the thumbnail height to auto instead of 154px so that there's not a
big empty gap beneath thumbnails that aren't 150px high.
This requires setting dimensions on the <img> tag itself so that the
image height is known before loading, otherwise the tooltip will be
mispositioned after the image loads in.
We set the min-width and min-height instead of the <img> width and
height properties because our calculated dimensions are sometimes
off-by-one compared to the actual dimensions. I'm not sure how libvips
calculates the thumbnail dimensions, but this avoids forcing a slightly
wrong aspect ratio, which produces ugly resizing artifacts.
* Factor out common sidebar layout template.
* Convert wiki pages and posts to use this template.
* Add data-layout attribute to <body> element indicating the current layout.
* Add ability to search /post_versions by added tags, removed tags, or
changed tags (added or removed).
* Add 'History' link to the sidebar of the /posts index. This is a
shortcut for a /post_versions search of the current tag.
